The waters between the mainland and Caño Island are one of the best places for whale and dolphin watching in the country. Two times a year the whales come to mate or to give birth to their young.  Here also you have the chance to view some of the area’s other beautiful and numerous species of marine life up close in their natural setting including fish, sharks, corals, and dolphins.

For divers and snorkelers tours leave the mainland at 7:30 am. There will be a 45 minute boat ride to the island during which time you are likely to see whales (in season) or dolphins. You will enjoy 2 rounds of diving or snorkeling. There will be time to rest in between your water adventures. From the island you will head to San Josecito beach where you will have time to relax and play in the shallow water while your guide prepares a picnic lunch. The tour arrives back in Drake bay around 2pm.
